Benjo van den Boogaard is founder of Dutch design.school STUDIO.WHY. Prior to STUDIO.WHY, as a serial entrepreneur, he founded two tech companies, the first one in ‘social networking’ and the other in ‘telecom billing’. Besides he joined three others in businesses of ‘telecom invoice management’, ‘Web TV’ and ‘social media for elderly’. At the same time he executed his innovation and start-up knowledge and experience with corporate companies like British Telecom, KPN, Vodafone (telecom), Sanoma (publishers), ANWB (mobility), Connexxion (public transport) and Interakt Contour (health services). By designing new product, markets and business models, he helped those organizations to create new revenue. Benjo is an entrepreneur since 1999.
Before starting his own businesses Benjo was engaged with strategic marketing and customer experience jobs at the Dutch Ministry of Defense/Royal Dutch Airforce, KPN and British Telecom.
Benjo holds a Master degree in Marketing from the TiasNimbas Business School Tilburg University and was introduced in the methods of Design Thinking at Stanford University.
